Please read these terms carefully before signing up for early access to Honors.

1. About these terms

These terms of service (“Terms”) apply to your use of this website and to the pre-release version of the Honors app (the “App”). Honors (“we”, “us”) is a golf app that lets you create private leagues with your mates, track your round and add friendly bets on the round.

By signing up for early access or using the App you agree to these Terms. If you don’t agree, please don’t sign up or use the App.

2. Early access

The App is an early version of Honors. We are offering early access free of charge so you can be among the first to play it. Early access is currently limited to iPhone and is delivered through Apple’s TestFlight programme, which has its own terms that you must also follow.

We choose who gets access and when. Signing up doesn’t guarantee you a place, and we are adding people gradually. We may change, pause or end early access, or remove your access, at any time and without notice.

3. Eligibility

You must be at least 18 years old, or the age of majority where you live if that is higher, to sign up. Because the app includes a betting feature, you are responsible for making sure that using it is lawful where you are.

4. Your account

You agree to give us accurate sign-up details and to keep your login details private. You are responsible for what happens under your account. Tell us promptly if you think someone else has used it.

5. Using early access

Early access means you can play rounds and create leagues with friends, and we’d love to hear what you think. The App is still in development and may be unreliable. It may contain bugs, show wrong information or lose data. Don’t rely on it for anything important.

Please keep what you see in the App to yourself while it is in early access, and don’t share your access with others. Ask your mates to sign up for themselves instead.

6. Using the app fairly

You agree not to use the App or this website to break the law, to harass or abuse other users, to interfere with or attack the app or its systems, to try to access accounts or data that aren’t yours, or to copy, reverse-engineer or resell any part of the app.

7. Betting and money

The betting feature lets you place friendly bets on real events during your round, such as who will beat who. No real money is processed or transacted through the app. Any stakes are for keeping score between you and your mates only.

If you and your friends choose to settle up with real money or anything else of value, that happens outside the app and is entirely your own arrangement and responsibility. We are not a party to those arrangements, we don’t hold or move money, and we are not responsible for any disagreement or loss arising from them.

8. Your feedback

We love to hear what you think. If you send us feedback, ideas or suggestions, you agree that we can use them to improve the app and our business without paying you or crediting you.

9. Your information

We use the information you give us to manage your early access and to help us improve the app. We won’t share your information with third parties. You can ask us to delete your information and account at any time by contacting us.

10. Ownership

The Honors name, logo, app, designs and content belong to us or our licensors. These Terms don’t give you any ownership of them. While you have early access, we give you a limited, personal, non-transferable, revocable permission to use the App for your own personal use. You keep ownership of the content you add, such as your scores and league details, and you give us permission to use it to run and improve the app.

11. No guarantees

The App and this website are provided “as is” and “as available”. We make no promises that they will be accurate, secure, uninterrupted or free of errors, including course maps, distances, scores and odds.

12. Limit of liability

To the fullest extent allowed by law, we are not liable for any indirect or consequential loss, or for loss of data, profits or opportunity, arising from your use of the App or this website. Nothing in these Terms limits any liability that cannot be limited by law, including for death or personal injury caused by negligence or for fraud.

13. Ending your access

You can stop using the App at any time. We can suspend or end your access at any time, including if you break these Terms. Sections that by their nature should continue (such as ownership, feedback and limit of liability) will continue after your access ends.

14. Changes to these terms

We may update these Terms as Honors develops or when the app launches fully. We’ll post the latest version on this page and update the date above. If you keep using the App after a change, you accept the updated Terms.

15. Governing law

These Terms are governed by the laws of [governing jurisdiction], and its courts have jurisdiction over any dispute, unless the law where you live gives you rights that say otherwise.
